Review of Recent News: 27 2December 2019

Now as to the times and dates, brothers and sisters, you have no need for anything to be written to you. 2 For you yourselves know perfectly well that the day of the [return of the] Lord is coming just as a thief [comes unexpectedly and suddenly] in the night. 3 While they are saying, “Peace and safety [all is well and secure!]” then [in a moment unforeseen] destruction will come upon them suddenly like labour pains on a woman with child, and they will absolutely not escape [for there will be no way to escape the judgment of the Lord].

4 But you, believers, [all you who believe in Christ as Saviour and acknowledge Him as God’s Son] are not in spiritual darkness [nor held by its power], that the day [of judgment] would overtake you [by surprise] like a thief; 5 for you are all sons of light and sons of day. We do not belong to the night nor to darkness. 6 So then let us not sleep [in spiritual indifference] as the rest [of the world does], but let us keep wide awake [alert and cautious] and let us be sober [self-controlled, calm, and wise]. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who are drunk get drunk at night. 8 But since we [believers] belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope and confident assurance of salvation. 9 For God has not destined us to [incur His] wrath [that is, He did not select us to condemn us], but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 who died [willingly] for us, so that whether we are awake (alive) or asleep (dead) [at Christ’s appearing], we will live together with Him [sharing eternal life]. 11 Therefore encourage and comfort one another and build up one another, just as you are doing.

1 Thessalonians 5 Amplified Bible

As the year comes to a close, I have been reflecting on the numerous changes taking place in the world relating to one world religion, one world government and one world economy / currency, and these are news worthy issues for us as Christians. I have provided ample information that is current, sourced from various media outlets to explore these agendas. I have been posting news items for nearly 3 years now and I can honestly say that this year has been remarkable prophetically - there has been an air of speed and a push for global government initiatives.

The Middle East, for instance, has been like a one big traffic jam without the traffic lights, and Israel in the middle of it. Israel has been blessed with oil so much so that it can now export to Europe! But Russia, Turkey, Iran and China (all desperate for oil and revenue) are taking over the Middle East – and this could be the hook that draws these nations to attack Israel, as prophesied in Ezekiel 38 and 39. Netanyahu has twice been evacuated from a campaign event after a rocket attack. Israel is now on its third election in less than 12 months. But Trump needs an Israeli PM to be elected to complete the Middle East Peace Deal that is partially delivered (which is why you are seeing Arab nations seeking diplomatic relations with Israel). This is not a coincidence - something is happening or about to happen.

There are two items of the above I have always been sure about, firstly that EU is the revived Roman Empire and that it is this empire that will divide the world into 10 regions as mentioned in Daniel and Revelations. This is now becoming a reality and the stage is being set. The United Nation role is to set the foundation much like a steering committee with stakeholders.

The other is that the Roman Catholic Church will lead many religions and apostate churches to the one religion mentioned in Rev 13 and 17. However, for a very long time, this was a grey area for me as I could not see Pope (publicly) embracing pagan religions. But that has changed considerably since Pope Francis took office. It is so bad that even his sacking is being debated in the Catholic media. Again, the stage is being set.

I have also been blown away by the rise of antisemitism and Christian persecution, so much so that this week, instead of 3 weeks’ worth of news, I have instead listed these as news for week ending 27 December – if I had the space and time I could’ve go on and on.
