One World Governance: Education and the Global Citizen Movement - Part 6

“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” Joshua 1:8

"Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6

Education

When it comes to child development, it's been said that the most crucial milestones in a kid's life occur by the age of 7. In fact, the great Greek philosopher Aristotle once said, “Give me a child until he is 7 and I will show you the man.”

On Bill Gates website, GatesNotes, he published an article titled “Technology's Promise to Education: Reimagining Textbooks”. The article is as result of a new initiative, funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, that was launched in New York with Gov. Andrew Cuomo working with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to “reimagine” a “new normal” for education as result of the pandemic. Many people are not aware that Bill Gates has been involved with the global programme, Common Core, a centralised the global education system. The Gates Foundation’s support of the Common Core learning standards as well as the effort to link teacher evaluations to student test scores, prompted protests among parents and teachers as well as a years-long movement to opt-out of state tests.

In 2018, Business Insider reported that the “$1 billion Gates Foundation-backed education initiative failed to help students”, according to a new report from nonprofit policy think tank RAND and that the Gates Foundation “sank over $200 million into the initiative since 2009, with local tax dollars and the federal government adding to the pot. The initiative cost around $1 billion in total over the seven school years, factoring in the approximately $73 million the RAND estimated it cost to staff the initiative and evaluate teachers in the 2014-15 school year, assuming the cost remained the same or similar for the other years.” Over the years criticism have been voiced by educators, teaching unions, government officials and students. When Common Core standards first passed in 2010, teachers unions were cautiously optimistic. After a glimpse of their implementation, however, that enthusiasm quickly began to sour. In 2014, the National Education Association, which once supported the standards, launched unambiguous criticism against the program, calling its rollout completely botched.”

Since then federally backed national education “standards” have come under fire from across the political spectrum. America’s kids, as well as their parents, will also be monitored and tracked in unprecedented ways from early childhood into the workforce. Opposition is growing by leaps and bounds, but government officials are not yet backing down. The controversial “standards” scheme, known informally as “Common Core,” is being foisted on state governments all across the country with a combination of taxpayer-funded bribes, outright deception.

Chinese immigrant, Lily Williams, stated the following:

“We had nationalized curriculum and tests, one of the subjects we had to study was Politics (Communist Party’s history, Karl Marxism, Mao Zedong Thought, etc.). Our teachers had to comply with all the curriculum and testing requirements, or lose their jobs forever. Parents had no choice at all when it came to what we learned in school……The government used the Household Registration and Personnel File system to keep track of its citizens from birth to death. This old photo of me in Mao’s Red Guard uniform was used in my Middle School Student File which documented everything: age, gender, parents, their jobs and political class, religion, siblings, home address, your grades, awards, punishments, politically incorrect speeches, bad behaviors, etc. Then, this file followed me to my high school, college, my first job, my future jobs, etc. It was shared by all the government agencies and employers……..From the NSA keeping records on us in massive databases to Common Core nationalization of exams and curriculum; what is happening now is very unlike the America I came to find. The worst, I fear, is that Common Core could be used by the government and corporations to do data collection and data mining on our children. What else could come to take away more of our rights and privacy? Our freedom is very precious and we must fight to keep it. Without freedom, you are just a slave, no matter how much money you have. Trust me to say this because I have lived under tyranny before and will never want to live in it again. I took a long journey from tyranny to liberty. I don’t want to go back into tyranny. “ Lily Williams - Chinese Immigrant Against Common Core

UNESCO’s first General Conference took place from 19 November to 10 December 1946, and elected Dr. Julian Huxley to Director-General. The Conference included resolutions, and the minutes stated that “the creation of World Citizenship Clubs in schools all over the world; and every kind of exchange which will help to promote understanding between nations and peoples…Unesco will be like the forum of ancient Rome, where the citizens of a great empire would come to exchange their ideas and their experiences.…..

The Constitution was amended in November 1954 when the General Conference resolved that members of the Executive Board would be representatives of the governments of the States of which they are nationals and would not, as before, act in their personal capacity. UNESCO’s mission is to “construct” the U.N. model of peace “in the minds of men”: “Since wars begin in the minds of men, it is in the minds of men that the defences of peace must be constructed.”

Another aspect to Huxley’s vision for humanity, other than a “one world government”, globalising education and making a global citizen, that will comply with their agendas, is population control:

Huxley was a prominent member of the British Eugenics Society, serving both as vice-president and president of the society in his lifetime. He wrote numerous essays throughout his life, writing extensively on eugenics and the need to depopulate the planet. In a 1964 essay titled: The Humanist Frame, the former UNESCO head reveals his desire to decrease the global population:
The world has to achieve the difficult task of reversing the direction of its thought about population. It has to begin thinking that our aim should be not increase but decrease – immediate decrease in the rate of population-growth; and in the long run, decrease in the absolute number of people in the world. UNESCO’s First Director-General Advocated Global Population Control, Steven MacMillan writing for Global Research.

“Unesco-the United Nations Educational, Scientific and ’ Cultural Organisation-is by its title committed to two sets of aims. In the first place, it is international, and must serve the ends and objects of the United Nations, which in the long perspective are world ends, ends for humanity as a whole. And secondly it must foster and promote all aspects of education, science, and culture, in the widest sense of those words.…. what Unesco cannot or should not adopt in the way of philosophies or guiding principle. Now for the positive side. Its main concern is with peace and security and with human welfare, in so far as they can be subserved by the educational and scientific .and cultural relations of the peoples of the world.

Accordingly its outlook must, it seems, be based on some form of humanism. Further, that humanism must clearly be a world humanism, both in the sense of seeking to bring in all the peoples of the world, and of treating all peoples and all individuals within each people as equals in terms of human dignity, mutual respect, and educational opportunity. It must also be a scientific humanism, in the sense that the application of science provides most of the material basis for human culture, and also that the practice and the understanding of science need to be integrated with that of other human activities. It cannot, however, be materialistic, but must embrace the spiritual and mental as well as the material aspects of existence, and must attempt to do so on a truly monistic, unitary philosophic basis….The moral for Unesco is clear. The task laid upon it of promoting peace and security can never be wholly realised through the means assigned to it-education, science and culture. It must envisage some form of world political unity, whether through a single world government or otherwise; & the only certain means for avoiding war. (my emphasis) Sir Julian Huxley, who wrote, “The world today is in the process of becoming one

In an April 9 UN press release touting “major gains” toward meeting what it calls the “world’s education goals,” the dictator-dominated global body summarizes the findings of its “2015 Global Monitoring Report – Education for All 2000-2015: Achievements and Challenges.” The report boasts that more and more children are now in “early childhood care” — an increase of nearly two thirds in the last 15 years. Governments have also “increased efforts to measure learning outcomes through national and international assessments, using these to ensure that all children receive the quality of education they were promised,” the UN document explains.

Bill Gates, the United Nations, and other forces seek to finalize the decades-old effort to nationalize — and even globalize — education by bribing and bludgeoning state governments to impose Common Core, one of the key agendas behind the deeply controversial standards has been largely overlooked. In essence, official UN documents and statements by top administration officials reveal a plan to transform American children, and students around the globe, into what globalists refer to as “global citizens” ready for the coming “green” and “sustainable” world order.

About one third of the world’s governments and dictatorships are on track to meet United Nations education targets aiming to change the values of humanity as part of its “Education for All” initiative, according to a report by the UN Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). With Common Core and related schemes and to deal with those that have not yet met UN schooling goals, UNESCO bureaucrats are seeking taxpayer funding to provide what the self-styled global education agency refers to as “quality education” for all children. Going forward, as a component of the broader UN “post-2015 agenda,” the UN outfit outlined even more extreme plans to impose its “quality education” scheming on all of humanity.

However, as UN documents make clear, the planetary entity’s vision for “quality education” is radically different from traditional notions of proper schooling and instruction. For example, UNESCO documents and global agreements dealing with the UN education agenda focus a great deal on bringing about “changes in attitudes, values and behavior.” In official documents, UNESCO argues that these changes are “required” to move toward the “sustainable” new world they seek. The global education bureaucracy, which is also pushing planetary school standards, boasts of its efforts to turn children into “global citizens.” As the UNESCO Global Citizenship Education webpage explains: “social justice, diversity, gender equality and environmental sustainability” are needed to “empower learners to be responsible global citizens.”

“We need new skills for new times — to foster greater respect and understanding between cultures, to give learners tools to make the most of diversity, to develop new values and behaviours of solidarity and responsibility, to harness the energy of young women and men for the benefit of all,” UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova told the gathering of some 250 educators, government officials, and activists. “This is the importance of education for global citizenship and why this Forum is so important.”

“Global citizenship must be placed at the centre of education systems,” declared the headline of a press release on the forum issued by the UNESCO media office on January 30.

UNESCO’s Global Citizenship Education webpage tells us: “Global citizenship education (GCED) is one of the strategic areas of work for UNESCO’s Education Programme (2014-2017) and one of the three priorities of the UN Secretary-General’s Global Education First Initiative (GEFI) launched in September 2012.”

“Global Citizenship Education,” the UNESCO site continues, “equips learners of all ages with those values, knowledge and skills that are based on and instill respect for human rights, social justice, diversity, gender equality and environmental sustainability and that empower learners to be responsible global citizens. GCED gives learners the competencies and opportunity to realise their rights and obligations to promote a better world and future for all.”

UNESCO education strategy for 2014-2021 states:

UNESCO will do this by steering international debates on critical issues and emerging challenges for education. In the lead-up to the 2015 target year for achieving the MDGs and the EFA goals, this will include supporting Member States in reporting on and monitoring progress towards the goals, critically reviewing the lessons learned and guiding the debate on international education and development agendas beyond 2015. Equal partnerships between countries will be fostered through South-South and North-South-South cooperation, in particular by strengthening technical cooperation between developing countries and engaging new donors such as BRICS (Brazil, the Russian Federation, India, China and South Africa). Recognizing the many isolated actions taking place in local and global settings and sectors, UNESCO will reach beyond its traditional multilateral partners to build a broad coalition of partnerships for education that will include civil society, academia and the private sector, and encompass expertise from related sectors such as health and labour. UNESCO education strategy 2014-2021

For decades now, the globalists at UNESCO and other UN outfits have been openly plotting to impose what they sometimes refer to as the “World Core Curriculum” on all of humanity. According to the agency, it is all linked to UN Agenda 21. In addition to gathering up unprecedented amounts of data on everyone, the global “education reform” movement is essentially seeking to instill radical new values in children — turning them into “global citizens” with views inherently at odds with Biblical Christianity — to facilitate the total regimentation of human society. Countless programs and initiatives such as “Education for All” are working toward that goal.

Previous Crisis articles have detailed the lack of academic rigor of CCSS for both math and English Language Arts. Teachers have reported disturbing “aligned texts” that contain crude, sexually explicit reading selections for young teens. Parents have questioned multiple examples of anti-American sentiment (the Boston Tea Party as a terrorist attack, for example). Despite this outcry, Common Core defenders insist that the standards are necessary, even though it only prepares students for admission to junior college. If the standards are substandard, why are hundreds of millions of Gates and other foundation monies, as well as over a billion dollars in government carrots, being pumped into this ‘transformation” of education? The goal is not academic excellence, but to reconstruct the nations of the world into a new, interdependent model. Their educational model is aimed at an economically stable world with “workforce ready” workers who share the same globalist vision.

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the primary public face of Common Core, prizes its partnership with UNESCO to insure global standards for educating tomorrow’s labor force via Education for All (EFA).

Another champion of CCSS and UNESCO is Arne Duncan, U.S. Secretary of Education. Duncan addressed UNESCO in 2010 on “transformational education”: “And transformational reform especially takes time in the United States…. That goal can only be achieved by creating a strong cradle-to-career continuum that starts with early childhood learning and extends all the way to college and careers.”

The Real Agenda Behind UN “Sustainability” is the control of the masses starting with Education by partnering with globalists like Bill Gates, big businesses and technology companies, collaborations between Big Tech, schools, colleges and universities have cropped up during the COVID-19 pandemic period, and online education model that could include partnerships between the institutions with potential for certification and stronger career prospects. For example the AWS Educate program has been introduced globally including the UK and Ireland. But there are also worrying signs that Covid-19 will accelerate surveillance as more and more children continue their education online. According to this article “Big-tech companies are about to enter education and health care in a big way, not because they want to but because they have to”. Other concerns is do with the increase of surveillance on children in online classrooms: Brain Scans And Artificial Intelligence Invade Schools - School uniforms in Communist China, meanwhile, are now equipped with tracking devices and microchips to keep tabs on students’ locations throughout the day. In America, government schools across the country are putting RFID chips in mandatory student IDs even as biometric data such as retina scans and finger prints are increasingly being used for everything from school lunches to class access. According to the Israeli Prime Minister, technology can be implanted under children’s skin, Some world leaders are now calling for the supposedly to fight coronavirus.

Just recently, Pope Francis called for the creation of a global education system with humanity, not God, at its center. The Pope introduced his plan in a video released at the delayed “Global Compact on Education” event at the Pontifical Lateran University and the Pope Francis reflected on the Covid-19 pandemic’s impact on children’s education, called “an education catastrophe”, but did not focus on reading, writing or arithmetic. Instead he called for an education that will create a new, universal, “culture” that will serve the whole world.

Global Citizen

Global Citizen is a movement of engaged global citizens designed to help interested members of the general public find effective and relevant ways to take action on extreme poverty. It is designed as a platform to learn more about the issues that trap people in extreme poverty, to support organizations working to create change on the ground, and to campaign for systemic, lasting change. There is a website, and an application software.

It was launched in 2012, alongside the Global Citizen Festival, and was the tool through which interested people had to earn tickets to this event. Global Poverty Project won the 2020 Webby Award for Public Service and Activism in the category Apps, Mobile & Voice.

In April 2020, WHO and Global Citizen announced: 'One World: Together at home' Global Special to support healthcare workers in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic:

One World: Together At Home will also be a multi-hour digital broadcast streaming online on multiple global platforms, including: Alibaba, Amazon Prime Video, Apple, Facebook, Instagram, LiveXLive, Tencent, Tencent Music Entertainment Group, TIDAL, TuneIn, Twitch, Twitter, Yahoo and YouTube. This digital special will include additional artists and performances from all over the globe as well as unique stories from the world's healthcare heroes.
“The World Health Organization is committed to defeating the coronavirus pandemic with science and public health measures, and supporting the health workers who are on the frontlines of the response,” said Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of WHO. “We may have to be apart physically for a while, but we can still come together virtually to enjoy great music. The ‘One World: Together At Home’ concert represents a powerful show of solidarity against a common threat.”
“The United Nations system is fully mobilized: supporting country responses, placing our supply chains at the world’s disposal and advocating for a global cease-fire. We are proud to join forces with ‘One World: Together At Home’ to help suppress the transmission of the virus, minimize social-economic impacts on the global community and work together now to advance Global Goals for the future,” said António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations. “There is no greater case for collective action than our joint response to COVID-19 – we are in this together and we will get through this together."
Last month in response to the global pandemic, Global Citizen launched an urgent campaign in support of the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for WHO, powered by the UN Foundation. Calling on individuals to take action, and asking world leaders and corporations to support the response with sufficient resources, Global Citizens from over 130 countries around the world have taken tens of thousands of actions in support of the response fun. WHO and Global Citizen announce: 'One World: Together at home'

In September 2014, as the world's leaders gathered in New York for the UN General Assembly, the 3rd annual Global Citizen Festival brought top artists and 60,000 change makers together on the Great Lawn of Central Park to urge leaders and citizens to do more to help end extreme poverty. The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi gave a seven-minute speech on the global citizen festival stage, ending his speech by saying "May the force be with you". Beyoncé also made a surprise appearance during husband Jay Z's performance.

The Festival celebrated the progress already made in fighting extreme poverty, secured financial commitments for tackling extreme poverty and disease, totaling US$1.3 billion, and called on thousands of ambassadors to take action for change.

The 2012 event featured Neil Young with Crazy Horse, Tiesto, Foo Fighters, The Black Keys, Band of Horses and K'Naan - with a special appearance by John Legend.

On September 26, 2015 the Global Citizen Festival was hosted by Stephen Colbert, Hugh Jackman and popular YouTube personalities Matthew Santoro and AsapScience. It featured performances from Pearl Jam, Beyoncé, Ed Sheeran, and Coldplay, among others.

The Global Citizen Movement is nothing more than a way to indoctrinate young people to embrace the UN Agenda 2030 by being a global citizen. It is a vehicle for radical collectivism to prepare the masses to adopt the “Global Village”. It was Marshall McLuhan, who coined the words that “we live in a global village” and endorsed by the UN and was partly the title Hilary Clinton’s book, It Takes a Village: And Other Lessons Children Teach Us. During his acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention, Republican Party nominee Bob Dole said: "... with all due respect, I am here to tell you, it does not take a village to raise a child. It takes a family to raise a child." Criticism of Clinton's notion would continue to be made by American conservatives such as Rush Limbaugh, Andrea Tantaros, and Jonah Goldberg through the next two decades.

13 “These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. 14 For those who say such things declare plainly that they seek a homeland. 15 And truly if they had called to mind that country from which they had come out, they would have had opportunity to return. 16 But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.” Hebrews 11:13-16

“If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.” Colossians 3:1-4
